The problem starts when you initiate to develop a website. For this, you keep collecting data and images from a trusted or untrusted source. Like any free images and selected HTML portion or it can be any plugin, related to your website. Sometimes your Page Builder also causes this same problem.
It is always recommended if you buying a domain and hosting. you buy the SSL certificate, along with it. Somehow if you manage to live your website without purchasing an SSL certificate. Then it will affect your google ranking. Yes, it is one of the important factors of Google ranking.
And the most common problem with visiter or customer, who visit your website. He or she can see the top left corner that your website is “Not Secure”.
This trust issue can give a huge impact on your website’s ( www.materialisticwomen.com )business. Customer will never purchase from this kind of site or share their personal detail with the website.
To resolve this issue, first of all, you need to buy an SSL certificate. That can be provided by your host, from where you have purchased your domain and hosting for your website.
Purchasing of SSL certificate will not be enough to remove the “not secure” tag from the website.
Once you buy an SSL certificate, you need to communicate with your web hosting team, they will try to remove this tag. If you don’t have any of mix content on your website
If you have mix content on your website, then hosting team will not be able to remove this “not secure” tag. Then you have to follow the below steps.
Before performing the below steps, you make sure you have purchased SSL certificate and already tried to remove with the help of web hosting
- Make sure you have created a backup for your Wordpress.
- Then search for “Really Simple SSL” plugin.
Really Simple SSL plugin is designed to automatically handle your mix content. Once the plugin installed and activated, you need to follow the instructions. If still, the problem persists then follow the below step to activate your security tag.
Again pls make sure you have created your Wordpress backup.
- 1. Again open your Wordpress
- 2. Go to Elementor section.
- 3. And open Tool section.
- 4. Then replace URL
where you need to put your old URL and new URL at there respective places.
After entering both the URL and double-checking the URL, pls press the replace URL option.
Old URL - http://www.example.com, New URL – https://www.example.com.
This is automatically changing the site address in all Elementor data.
After replacing the URL, pls open ‘General’ tab in Elementor settings and press the ‘Regenerate Files’ button. Once you have done this please save changes.
Now you can shut down your dashboard and refresh your site, to see your secure tag is there.
That is it, now your website will work without mixed content.
